Painting Retreats
2026 Sessions

Painting retreats with accommodation

A painting retreat with accommodation allows participants to fully focus on their artistic practice, without time constraints or daily travel. The days are organised around studio work, observation and discussion, in a calm and natural setting.

At Château de Pourpry, the location, the light and the surrounding environment are an integral part of the experience. The retreats take place over several days to encourage steady progress, whatever the participant’s level. Teaching is provided by experienced artist instructors, with intentionally small groups to ensure attentive and personalised guidance.

Course description

The courses run over 4 or 5 nights, with arrival on Sunday from 2:00 pm. If you are travelling by train or plane, complimentary transfers are provided from Damiatte / Saint-Paul train station (45 minutes from Toulouse) or from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport.

Sunday afternoon is dedicated to discovering the property and meeting the group, followed by a welcome drink and dinner.

A cultural excursion is organised mid-week to the hilltop village of Cordes-sur-Ciel. On that day, lunch at a local restaurant is included.

Departure takes place on Thursday or Friday depending on the length of the course, at 11:00 am, with the option of extending your stay, enjoying lunch, or arranging a later departure. Return transfers to Damiatte / Saint-Paul station or the airport are also provided free of charge.
